As much I want to rage, this arc has a purpose. I am guessing Haru would now re-evaluate himself and realize that he can still be the best without wings. Case in point: 2nd battle of AR vs SC. This arc would serve as a reminder for that.
Overall, this would be start of the true building of Haru to stand on his own without the help of KYH.

Nah, they will start as rivals, then vitriolic buddies, then friends. IMO
