The way the game revealed it was most definitely a shock.

I mean in the game we're not to question that Cordelia is descended from the Valkyrur until we see the cut scene with Maximillian in Randgriz right before the end of the game.

That was a big surprise for me.

In the anime it's cute to see another side of Cordelia and the stress and strain she must deal with as the figurehead of the country but to me it just seems a little too soon to be playing around with Cordelia's heritage.
