It was stated early in the series that evil spirits possess these fine ladies so that they reincarnate themselves as the children of the girls. IDK, maybe the mangaka will throw someone who had a sex change into the fray.. but then again, Keima's targets have been teenage girls so encountering one who is a trans will pose many issues.
Traps FTW. Just like loli's, they may not necessarily be 'tapped' in real life but its fun to watch them in anime and manga nonetheless.
