The bane of tanks is Destroyer-class BETA, those guys can run with speed of 170 kPh and with their thick frontal armor they most likely would reach line of tanks and utterly devastate her.
And, as we could see in 2 episode of total eclipse, Destroers can simply charge through entire cities without stopping, so any attempt to try to stall their rampage with urban warfare is useless.
