Yes, the same for me. Engrish is easier to understand then their English accent.

I think its because they are not used to it. It must be difficult, since the sounds are very different.

During my earlier English classes, I was horrible with "th"(think) and "rl" (girl)... T.T
It was like my tongue wasn't obeying, it took lots of effort to master it, the same occurred with the pace and accent.

It must be 4x more difficult if the person is from japan. My grandfather just can't pronounce the "L" and "s".

yeah... English is kinda hard.
