I don't know what it means exactly, but it was said that people were living in their best memories. The question would be, "who was Niimi talking to?" I went out on a limb and suggest the elder Kodai. Though it could be anyone for that matter. That they focused on her and Shiima suggests that it means something. Shiima's was about his mother and brother which is understandible. Niimi's is unclear, but the only other one we hear speaking. And considering how much detail they've put in so far, I can't imagine them throwing that in as a throwaway line, without some backstory behind it, or foreshadowing something we will get later on.

As there is still the unresolved plot point of "what happened to Captain Kodai"? His ship made it to Saturn from Pluto and was more or less intact. There were only a few bodies, and his sidearm was found in the wreck not far from the bridge. There were no bodies on the bridge of the Yukikaze.

As for the preview. They took out a shot of Yuria and I think one other shot, and replaced them with Gamilas warships firing. One was a line of Cruisers and a Battlecruiser openning up with all forward facing beam weapons. Both top and bottom turrets. The other was of a mass of destroyers launching their vertical launch missiles in salvo.
