The abrupt sudden change of topic pretty much indicated that line is for that "girlfriend" to hear in order to get her attention. There was no prior sign in the conversation that suggests "he didn't notice her feelings".
The fact that he brought an "girlfriend" triggered what hurt her the most since she is not in a relationship at the moment, so she feel cheated from being fooled by that lame trick.
yes there may be future love flag, but you are not reading the joke right if you interpret her behaviour within the skit as love

I read it fine, thank you very much. I have presented my evidence, you are free to ignore it. My claim was that it served both the purpose of the joke and of a sincere rage - thus enhancing the joke, just to reiterate. That stillshot afterwards is as good an evidence as I need to abide by my interpretation, try as you may to convince me that I am incapable of proper comprehension. To begin with, I am not denying your interpretation, only adding to it.
