I'm getting a Naruto-ish vibe from the Shodai Hokage. They're complete buffoons during downtime but Gods when they're needed. As for the EMS->MS, perhaps the EMS pattern does more than just cure the blindness. I've always thought the EMS would have a completely new set of jitsu.
