While but I didn't hate it, more like I didn't see what the big deal was, I didn't really care for Akira. I've seen three times. First time just stumbled across it while it was at the halfway point while channel surfing. Second time watched the whole thing still wasn't digging it. (Note first two times I went into it blind.) Third time was after I heard friends and reviews that were high on it, so I tried it again. Still didn't like it, but I respect the film for what it did. Don't hate it, but not in love with it.
