I'm not sure about that. When I listened to (and reviewed)
Tatami Galaxy's soundtrack, I found most of the music is pretty standard orchestral fare that really succeeds at being wonderful. Especially with stuff like "Watashi's Theme" that comes off as being poignant in the way it seeps in with its melancholy.
Now if you're looking for weird.. hmm... I'd say Yoshimori Makoto's works on Natsume Yuujinchou can get kinda odd. That man loves playing around with sound effects.
