As for the timline stuff

So now that we can stop talking about that (especially before mods start thumping people), I found the first episode a bit bland and slow as well. Just not a super strong opening episode so while I will be following it I'm not super hyped for it at this point.

As for the timline stuff Spoiler for steins;gate spoiler: It's the same worldline as the true/"Steins Gate" worldline from the end of the series, I checked the numbers and other sites have said the same So now that we can stop talking about that (especially before mods start thumping people), I found the first episode a bit bland and slow as well.
