RWBY: Grimm Eclipse
Decided this warranted its own thread since it's got a Steam Greenlight page now:
Official Site So for those who don't yet know, Grimm Eclipse is Rooster Teeth's official RWBY game, featuring 4-player coop with gameplay similar to Dynasty Warriors. The most interesting aspect of this game is that it was once a fan project by indie developer Jordan Scott, with a demo released in 2014. His original demo though so impressed Rooster Teeth that he was personally contacted by Monty Oum himself to develop the game in-house with official support, and this is the result. Already voted for it, should be fun once it comes out.

I wonder where that impression came from, considering that the game not only had an alpha demo release, but they've been showing off more polished demos in events like RTX and the NY Comic-Con

And the game's out on Early Access, for around $15.
Also found a gameplay vid for the Early Access version: Looks like you can have clones afterall.

I have it!~
Thus far, you can only play as RWBY members, but it is early access. They will probably add more as time goes on. The run animation cycles are a bit wonky when running downhill, but the basic mechanics of the game seem to be sound. Main complaint is that there's no system to be able to lock-on to specific foes, so trying to shoot a specific Grimm out of a crowd of them is iffy at best. Also, Ruby and Weiss are clearly the best. Yang can't really hit more than one enemy at a time in melee without using her specials (and her shotgun spread lacks damage and range), and Blake has terrible AOE abilities, though she tears through single targets with ease. Personal favorite is Ruby because her basic melee combo pops targets into the air and makes finishing off the tougher Grimm a lot easier. Weiss has a decent spammable ranged attack, because it homes in on multiple targets within medium range, and like Ruby she has a good AOE, though she can freeze her enemies instead of just damaging them. Yang is fun, but she's very short range and struggles against big groups because her AOE does not have as big of a radius as Ruby's or Weiss'. Blake has the best spammable ranged attack because it fires VERY fast, has long range, and doesn't have as long of a recovery time as the others. But she also struggles against groups, and I haven't figured out a good way to counter this weakness for her or Yang yet. I hope we will also get to play as the members of the other teams, personally I'm most interested in Pyrrha and Nora. Now for the real question. Is it worth the $15 they're asking for it? My answer is: Maybe. If you're as big of a fan of the series as I am, then you'll definitely want to pick it up. I had fun for the 3 hours I've played it thus far, then replayability is an issue due to the fact that the campaign is very short. Though this is helped by the fact that it scales the difficulty up as more players join, which I rather like. If you don't like hack-and-slash games in the same vein as Dynasty Warriors, then you won't like this at all, because at the end of the day that's basically what it is, and that's what it's going to be when it's finished.

Same, my friend. Just wanted to let you know. She's playable, but unless they make the EXP pool shared among all members, she's probably the hardest to level up as, and her aerial combos simply don't extend very well. She's great at holding off foes at close range because her shotgun gauntlets have great knockback and are spammable, but she simply can't murder huge groups in a single attack as well as Ruby or Weiss can.
