Plot Summary/Premise

The novels' story centers on Yūshi Inaba, a 16-year-old boy whose parents died three years ago. He moved into his uncle's house, but resolved to move into a dormitory in high school. Those plans were dashed when that dormitory burned down. He eventually finds an apartment with cheap 25,000-yen (about US$220) rent. Yūshi finds out too late that the apartment is home to supernatural creatures such as ghosts, yōkai, and mononoke, and his daily life becomes embroiled in the eccentric apartment.

ehhh. I'm not really feeling it. Looks like it'll be rather slow and more of a relaxing healing type of show which i'm not in the mood for.

Definitely a lacking beginning. Given the premise, I was fully expecting more of a Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou vibe, or something similar, and maybe it KINDA was, if only a barebones version of it =01. There wasn't anything that seemed to grab my attention to make me care about anything that was going on. That little sob story about MC's past and reasoning for leaving home had me rolling my eyes; probably would have been better to save that for later, when I actually gave two craps about the characters. Akine being both a nurse that works at night AND an exorcist, in addition to school seems like a few too many titles for one character too.

I will at least give this one more episode, because the interactions with the other main characters(in this case, should be mostly the other 'living' tenants) are what make these kinds of stories enjoyable. They didn't introduce them yet I suppose to give proper introduction to the youkai house, which is fine, but I expect the next episode to set the precedence of how the rest of the series is going to be like.

I need to stay for a bit longer.. probably until episode 3
I hope they could improve the slice of life part or at least make it more funny
probably I could get some Arakawa Under the Bridge vibe from this

That show may have more "poor man's..." than any can remember.

But I did like this premiere quite a bit.

I felt that this episode 1 was as perfect a pace that an anime can get. And everything is interesting so far. They did a great job.

I know this was just a setup episode, but the boy+boy part seems strangely disconnected from everything else in the story. It is presumably a big deal, given the way the two boys appear in the OP, and he even dreams about the black-haired boy at night; but it seems like they are going to live in different worlds now.

I thought the jokes they were using were very funny. It was also nothing in your face, like most comedies try to do. idk probably just my (bad) taste at work once again.

The second episode fleshed things out a bit more with some of the characters from the OP we'd not seen before, and offered more of a story

I had been expecting just wacky spooky slice of life, but there seems to be more to it, so that helps.

So Reimei is actually human? I strongly felt he was yokai.

And that new psychic, Ryu-san...wow, he sure has quite the reputation for all the yokai to bow to him like that, but he looked to be a good guy. Makes me wonder what he's all about?

I had been expecting just wacky spooky slice of life, but there seems to be more to it, so that helps.
