Well I hope they do a better job this time. Season 3 was just a disaster. So bad I can't really recall anything about it other than how bad it was

.

Hopefully they are honest and actually clued in.

The've got potential to do a solid job, but have to see it happen.

^ we always hope to see it go better but always gets disappointed that's why I didn't care anymore and I'm all for the fan service crap the JC staff will bring.

I expect the same wonderful job from J. C. Staff they are showing with Shakugan no Shana III! I really love the novels, and I hope this season is worth seeing, unlike most of season 3...

Hmm.. to be honest I'm not sure whether I really like this anime or not..

At first I didn't really like it and as I watched more it got better.. I guess. Season 3 was terrible.

So yeah, I'll watch this last season just to see the ending

As for expectations...knowing that the last novel will be out in February, I'm not expecting much from this final season. Anime original endings are fine if done right, but I don't have much trust in JC Staff...

Not necessarily, the author works with the studio, so the ending might not be the exact same, but definitely similar. Also if the last volume is released before the anime ends it makes it even more likely.

They have pretty much 3 seasons to cover in this one. They won't be able to do it unless they cut all the fanservice and will they won't they. And ZnT without those isn't ZnT.

I agree that the third season was a disaster it would have been better if they followed the light novel more closely and ended second season in a tragedy then season 3 picks up from there... but it has come to pass...

Well, here's for wishing that fan service is toned down (not completely removed) and more story progress.

I don't think at this point any of us know what this final season will cover. Since it's the final season, it had better cover a lot to make up for all time wasting in season 3.

Synopses for Ep. 2 to 5 are up, which should give us some idea of how the adaptation has been handled.

It's good to see that they have a complete staff (scriptwriters, episode directors, storyboarders, animation directors) laid out, which hopefully suggests that the schedule is under control.
