Although I've seen many wonderful arts produced solely through PS and other image programs, I've always felt that learning to draw the traditional way is a huge learning experience that shouldn't be passed up. Of course there is always some genius who picks something up and produces a masterpiece on the first try but the rest of us only get better with practice.

Learning perspectives, poses, shapes, anatomy is a huge part of being an artist. It really does help to draw odd things, what you see in a book, or a funky pose in a mirror, or even something simple like a landscape. Sure, it's mundane, but by only drawing what you see in a comic/manga or animation, you miss out on many important lessons that help keep your art believable even when drawing something fantastic.

I think you are doing fine, just keep on working at it and you'll improve more and more. The new Claymore fan art is very nice btw.

I was actually wondering if the works labeled under: "when I started out..." were really as such. If that is the case, you must have alot of talent! ^^. Starting out drawing like that.

My only contention is that you seem to have an inconsistent style ><"'. Even though it still looks good, I don't know. =/

Inconsistent style??? does that mean that i draw in different styles or that it is sometimes good and sometimes bad.

If its latter, then i guess i need to still improve a lot, if it is former, well..i keep my options open because i dont like to limit my style

Hmm... pretty nice drawing t.t. you've proved that you can draw, but have you tried coloring your works?

Taking it to the next phase of inking it/cleaning it and coloring it.

Well..to be honest, i dont want to color my pics..as in using PS that is...I m more interested in the manga type of art. The problem is that in India, I have no idea where to learn this from. Plus, being in College 3rd Year doesnt help much to the case either >.<

So i m just trying to improve my shading skills and using my pencils to do all the work.
