Had to wait for two days for it to come back on though. Pretty sad times.

It has been up and down for most of the weekend for me. I was finally able to grab Lucky Star 13 last night.

Weird. Seto no Hanayome 8 (Otacon) doesn't work while 9-11 works?

If you have problems you can always use the Azureus Magnet-Links to get the torrent.

When scarywater was down I found another copy of the torrent file for Lucky*Star 13 on mininova. I don't know if that was a fluke or a common occurrence. I recall just searching google for "filetype:torrent lucky star" or something like that.

the problem doesnt ly in downloading anime, cuz every torrent on scary also gets uploaded to mini and various other sites, so as long the scary tracker works its fine

However, uploading torrents to the scary tracker goes via web interface wich is unable
So those torrents already on scary can still be downloaded, but nothing new will get released in scary's current state

You'll get scary's home page with a list of fansubbing groups hosted on the server.

The usage graph does show a dip in the early morning hours. Perhaps they had a brief outage, and you tried to connect when they were down.

I too have a lot of problems downloading torrents, though the tracker works.
Try using a CGI Proxy. Just Google "CGI proxy" (there are a ton of them), then paste the URL of the torrent into the proxy and press enter. The proxy usually renames the torrent, but just rename the extension to .torrent and you should have a working torrent!

Is it just me, or are torrent downloads getting real slow right now? Even with over a hundred seeds (you know, the numbers in the parentheses marks), sometimes the ETA can be up to 2 hours... I had no problems downloading files last night, and my firewall's off...

Scarywater has been down for quite a while. It started yesterday at around 5pm Central Time. Anyone know what happened?

I can trace a route to its provider, ThePlanet.com Internet Services, Inc., in Houston, TX, but to not the server itself. The route dies at po1.car07.hstntx2.theplanet.com (74.55.252.86). It appears that either the server is offline, or it has been disconnected by the provider.

Has anyone checked that, or is it old info / not a channel where anyone important (staff) hangs out?

I actually went to Google's cache and clicked on the IRC link. They are there but probably not at their screens.
