programs minimizing

i'm trying to play a game called phantasy star universe on the pc and i got pretty far including defeating the boss at teh very end of chapter 6

but what happened?
in minimized the program and thus shutting down the damn program!
thus causing me to do it all again
is there a way to stop this or find out why?
its really buggin me

Uhm... did it happen only once or is it happening with frequency? Are you sure you didn't press the Windows button on your keyboard ( assuming you're using Windows of course )? Or isn't it maybe a problem with the game itself?

With that much info, we can't really help you that much.

i'm using windows xp
it doesn't only happen with psu
it happens with most applications i try to use and happens frequently
programs running in the background that really make any sort of difference are
zone alarm, deamon tools, azureus, roxio drag-to-disc and a couple of others
i keep lolifox open sometimes for the walkthrough but thats it

Afaik it could be corrupt 3D data. I am not completely sure on this... but when a D3D application is too slow on a graphics card or the processed data is corrupt and thus needs very long to be processed (e.g. excessive loops), then the Window is sometimes minimized (which will save lots of load from the rendering process, since there is nothing to render).
