i was just reading all the specs for all the parts and its starting to make me wonder if the 480 watt power supply is going to be enough for all the parts does anyone think it will be fine or should i look for something with a little more wattage.

It's not just about wattage it's about the amps on the 12v rail(s). According to this http://www.extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine your peak (everything on, at full use) usage is 309w approximately. (I added a second HDD and 2 usb powered devices as if you need to upgrade these are your logical things you will add). More than enough leaving you with plenty of wattage to add a couple of other devices.

Still if you feel you need more,

Even my heavily overclocked x2 4000 (to 2.85) and overclocked x1950pro (675 core, 1700 mem) with 4x120mm fans and an coolermaster hypterTX HSF doesn't make a dent in my 500W Coolermaster igreen.

No-one really knows for sure, no hardware requirements are even released. But a quick search shows this
http://www.crysis-online.com/Informa...0Requirements/
So you should be fine

Note: I hear that the next generation of Videocards the 9800's are out in late October/November. So if you can hang on for about 6-8 weeks (Crysis will be released November 16 BTW) you should see some price cuts to the 8800 series of video cards.

Personally I'm sticking with my x1950pro until I know exactly what I need to run Crysis and what ATI's response is to Nvidia

Not good at all, you better get a Dx9 card like 7600GT, is way better than 8500GT

ok so i went to frys electronics today first time ive been there. i dont know if many of u know anything about them. i was wondering if anyone has used them before and how good they are on warranties. they have a website to its frys.com so i was talking to the people that work in the computer parts section and they said that if u buy all the parts from them they will assemble it for u and he said they have a decent warranty that u can purchase through them that if any part breaks they will automatically replace it with a new one they dont have that wide of a selection on certain things but i was wondering if someone could help me pick out some parts from there website that are quality parts not junk like they might try to sell me.

Fry's website doesn't have half of what they sell in the stores. Then again, my local Fry's is massive....

As for the warranty, it'll cover hardware issues, but not software.

8500gt aren't really meant for games, they're mainly meant for High Definition playback ie Bluray, HDDVD etc. As much as I hate to say it the 8600gt (i think it's a POS, just less so than the 8500) is a far superior card to the 8500, you have at least the ability to play this current generation of games and upcoming games as far as I can tell at low to maybe mid detail settings at 1360x768 or lower.

some other online pc configs

http://www.ibuypower.com/ibp/store/c...r.aspx?mid=215

For gaming if I had a choice between spending less on the CPU or the Video Card I'd spend less on the CPU.

The Gateway DX430s is worth a look with an upgrade to an 8800gts for around $1300
