So far what we have is a nice, decent list of everyone's beliefs and religions. Let's not stray into arguments over each other's beliefs shall we? Xris has already stated the rules, plain and simple:

Do not insult or harass other members for their comments.
  • Please remember: Do not take it so seriously that you end up in an argument with another forum member because they express a different viewpoint from yours. Discussion and good spirited banter is always welcome, but harassing people won’t be tolerated.

If you can't follow this simple rule then please don't post.

Protestant Christian. Methodist to be exact. I'm not super religious or anything but I do show up every Sunday for Sunday School and the 10:30 service. I'm the A/V coordinator/operator and I'm also the technological adviser too at my church. Hard to believe a foul mouthed 19 year old is part of the church staff (I'm not paid for any of this though, I'm a volunteer I guess).

For almost my entire life I didn't even know the name of the god I am supposed to worship. Recently I was informed that the name of my god is ... God.
In my country Christians are divided into two groups Lutherans and Catholics. I belong to the Lutherans (the good guys).

But seriously, all this religion thing isn't so important to me. I don't believe in God. In my opinion, God is a fruit of our imagination, to justify our need to be responsible to someone for our actions. Sort of avatar of morality.

I am an Atheo-buddhist. I know, sounds like nonsense. It isn't. I don't believe in a god per se. In Japan, I intend to pray at the temples, but the prayers aren't a divine atonement or an assurance of a fantastic afterlife. I believe that when I die, I die. No eternity but a peaceful slumber under the soil. I still have morals, so nobody can call me an "Immoral atheist" because I have no god to fear. One must still have a morality or they are not human, regardless of creed. Atheo-buddhism is a philosophy based around Shinto, Buddhism, and Bushido. On must follow their own Nindo or way of enduring in order to prosper. I believe that a prayer to a temple is not a prayer per se but an amulet or a talisman of sorts. If one prays sincerely to not the god of the temple but betterness in what the god represents, good will become of that person and the will live long, enjoy prosperity and die quickly and painlessly.

Agnostic. I draw no conclusions about the existance or non-existance of God or Gods. I hold that such things are irrelevant to my life. There can be no proof of the non-existance of God(s) and there has been no proof of the existance of God(s). My core belief is that it is impossible for anyone to know if God exists.

I just get on with my life as best I can.

Sounds like you are active - that is nice to see. Not many people who are young, such as us, attend Church regularly. Keep up the great work!

At my Parish, I do, sort of, the same things in regards to volunteering. I work as a technical adviser. There is an "A" for Audio, but that is taken care of the Choir, and there is not "V" for video.

Anyways, keep discussing everyone - I love learning about different faiths.

Really I didn't know. I asked a Jewish friend on why he not like to reveal his religion to other people and he looked at me like I was crazy. And then he asked why. And I was like ummmmm. And then we left the conversation.
