We have the Onikakushi ch6 translation in our hands currently so it'll be out at some point depending on how much the editors slack

The Watanagashi TL is still MIA so I'm not sure what to tell you about where that project stands at the moment.

Of course not. If they were, we wouldn't be scanlating them, becuase then you get into legal issues.

Honestly, I don't really work too hard usually for Yoigoshi-hen. If I was editing the chapter title pages, there would be a TON more work involved, but I'm not. And I don't do most sfx, so...

Yeah, I've been working on Chapter 5 of Onisarashi when I have spare time so it should be done in... sometime. I really need motivation... the story is so boring.

Thanks to you motivated people who translate this. Yoigoshi-hen is interesting, the art almost seems like a shoujo style, which is unusual for Higurashi (well except maybe in the anthologies). I like how Rika is done in Himatsubushi, of course that's the whole point of Himatsubushi. Lastly, I find the manga alot scarier than the anime, it's...how shall I say, better paced? More violent, more impact overall.

Regarding Onisarashi, I think it gets better towards the end. By the way Sterling, I already finished translating the whole thing, mail me when you want me to send you the scripts for ep6 &7

Well I'm planning to release Chapter's 5, 6, and 7 of Onisarashi at the same time.
My motivation came from the fact that since I no longer have F/HA or Umineko to divert my attention I can promise a release date....

Which is 10/28/07

the manga is wayyyy closer to the game then the anime
