The declaration of challenge has finally been made. As the others mentioned, it will probably go down as one of the most memorible scenes of the series. Alas, as one who has played the original game, I was still a little disappointed that it wasn't powerful enough.

やっぱりBGMの差か? (differences of the BGM in game and anime?)

Spoiler for preview of ep 16:

9 episodes. Higurashi Kai is a 24 episodes series.
the 3 next episodes will be KAKERA, while the 6 others will be the chapter itself.

humm... 3 episodes to cover 1979 to 1983, that's fair enough.

Do you know how awkward that sounds? They need to give that type of file a different name.

But it lets you say "**** has a great ASS for ****" and not sound rude

and the best line of the episode

"You damn brat. I will drag your ass off your divine pedestal."

Takano has balls to say that to dark Hanyuu.

You know.... we're not SURE if the reset has been done for a hundred times.

I mean, couldn't the first resets went back several years, meaning that there could be less than 50 resets?

Kang Seung Jae brings up a good point. Remember Akasaka? Everytime Rika talks to him, it takes place several years before the main storyline. Assuming she has reset to that particular time more than once (yes, I know I shouldn't assume ), then the number of resets would be considerably lower than 100.

Anyways, back to the topic at hand. I am finally glad to be done with Takano's sob story. Yes, we get it. Life was rough. I suppose you should go murder some children rather than making the world a better place so no one would have to go what you went through. THAT'S the best plan alright <insert sarcasm here>. But, hey, who am I to judge? I have never emptied a gun barrel into a bound child's face before, it could be really fun.

Chibi Takano is cute, but her sob story makes me wanna gag. Instead of accepting her life, she blames God for everything.

These episodes weren't about making you feel sorry for her. That's pretty much impossible since we know how evil she is later on. They're about showing you how strong her will is, so you can better understand why she wins 99.9% of the time. The whole ordeal has been set in motion a long time ago and you know what they say, the longer something has been set in motion, the harder it is to stop.
