Back when I first joined this forum I used the same Final Fantasy 7 avatar for at least 6 months; Then I started to fool around with Photoshop and changed my avie every two weeks or so.

Now, I always change my avie and sig whenever I make a new trace.

I sometimes go back to some of my old stuff, though.

In the end, you could say I like to advertise my own stuff!

I really haven't been here all that long to gove a fair answer to this. As you can see I'm still useing amy original avy of Mad Dog from Tale Spin. I have requested an avy from Sky GIrls But i have yet to see it made.

During my 'travels' through the Internet, I've had a few avatars. They were always a representation of me, such as something I liked or a symbol that I follow. Once I set an avatar, I usually never change it at all. I've been using the same 2 avatars for years.



The first is a dragon from Warcraft II. I practically lived off that game. The second, the one I use more often, should be familiar to fans of the Zelda series. It's the symbol for Nayru, the Zora, water, wisdom, sapphire, ages, etc. All of those I like, prize, or uphold. As for AnimeSuki, I thought that a non-anime avatar seemed a little out of place. So... I started with a rather nice Kagami one. However, someone else later mentioned they wanted to use it, so I decided to give it to them and make the one I use now. I most likely will never change it.

Now, my sig is a completely different matter. That changes fairly frequently. In fact, I've got Photoshop running in the background--I was just about to make a new sig for myself when I happened upon this topic.

I've had 3-4 avatars in the 3/2 of year I've been a member here. I love the one I have now - especially how well it loops around - so it'll be hard for me to change it.

I try not to change, but my love for Kotomi made me try to change it to Tomoya (the current avatar is an intern while the avatar is being made.)

I change my avatar when I get tired of starring at one for too long. Usually just depends how I feel.

I voted every 6 months but its usually longer then that, I actually dont like changing my avy that much. But when I do its usually to a series that Im in love with at the moment or finally got a good screen to make one from. I had Ghost Hunt related avys for about 10 straight months, not always the same one but all from GH. It was kinda hard to change it to Zetsubou Sensei after a while but I liked that anime so much I figured I was due for a change. Mononoke I wanted one for a while but never found a hands down end all screen of MS til the very last epi. Plus Mononoke needs more love on this forum so I changed it. Maybe one day Ill go back to a GH one just for nostaglic purposes

Well yeah I like girls too, it's just that my idea of a female avie should be perfect, as in you capture her face with the features still visible. I get scared when I do so since I have issues regarding some anime girls. So I stick to my usual guys and mechs.

Normally, I use a Kotaro from Love Hina with Cherry bloosoms, on a 150 X 150 setting, but given the forum standards, and Tomoya of Clannad, I've changed my avatar.

I'll probably keep my current for a long time.

I change mine often, whenever I see one I like or something that is avi material I make it and use it until I get bored of it or find something else that I like.

So it could mean I use it for a week or a month, month would usually be tops for me.

Personally I see it as decoration for my profile page.
98% of the time I have images/avatars/signatures turned off because they ruin objectivity.
(the 2% is when I'm in series searching mode )

I change it once every month (judging from my saves), I guess that's when I happen to check my profile.
