Yup they'll work. The processor uses LGA 775 socket.

I suppose but the website says kind of otherwise but I do not trust what they say, if someone else says it will work I think I will be convinced.

Here is the link to where they say what works or not

It'll work, but I don't know why you're buying that chipset.

suggestions for alternatives ( same price after rebate)

http://www.amazon.com/eVGA-nForce-UL.../ref=de_a_smtd

http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GA-96.../ref=de_a_smtd

both are superior to the board you've listed, namely better BIOS overclocking, SATAII, gigabit ethernet, RAID etc etc.

Edit oh crap just realised you're after DDR, Ram costs peanuts these days, why not sell the old ram and upgrade to ddr2? DDR ram is still very expensive compared to DDR2 new. It's about $45 for 2 gig of ddr2 RAM.

Also did you checkout FRYS.COm and http://www.priceguidenetwork.com ? They ship internationally and have no issues with international credit cards. Quite a few people I know have stuff shipped to them as well as me. Shipping's not too bad considering I'm on the other side of the world.

http://www.priceguidenetwork.com/com...75-retail.html
http://www.priceguidenetwork.com/com...0-1066-10.html
http://www.priceguidenetwork.com/com...ry-module.html

Cheaper and more recent motherboard. Could buy a gig of ddr2 with the price difference from the amazon site.

Also on a real tight budget why not AMD? Motherboard and X2 cpu's are cheaper and a little bit faster stock (not much o/c headroom though, an e2140 will hit 2.66 up to 3.0 quite easily, an x2 4000 will get to 2.66 but that's probably the limit, anyways that's as far as I got before going to the black x2 6400.)

http://www.priceguidenetwork.com/com...ta-ata133.html
http://www.priceguidenetwork.com/com...5w-retail.html

But whatever you do, try not to get a chipset older than the 945 for Intel or Nforce4 for AMD.

Well I decided to go with the FOxconn Board and the 2gigs of RAM you showed me

And ill just sell that shitty intel board when it gets here, And those parts will work together right the CPU i have listed, the foxconn mobo and the Ram

Also can I decently overclock the proc with the foxconn mobo ?

According to a couple of review I've seen it has all the necessary options in its BIOS "you can up FSB clock from 200-400, adjust voltage of both CPU and RAM, and change the PCIe bus speed."

So you should be able to get a decent overclock. I don't have experience with that particular board, I only have experience with Foxconn on the AMD side where the BIOS was quite good and got an x2 3800 to 2.4. I haven't bought an Intel processor in about a decade.

If you can wait an hour I'll check with my work buddy who is up to speed with Intel overclocking and has just finished his build what the best budget o/c boards are for Intel, but as it stands IMO you should be able to get an ok overclock. 3.0 will probably be tough. I don't foresee any issues with 2.2-2.5 should be realistic though

If you can stretch the budget another $30 the gigabyte p35 is a far superior o/c as that's the most recent chipset excliding the x38's currently hitting the market.

I don't see as to why where you are would matter. I'm in Australia so it made no difference to them.

Ok here we go

the cheapest good overclocking board be can think of is this

http://www.priceguidenetwork.com/com...ata-3gb-s.html

benchmark/review
http://www.overclockersclub.com/revi...yte_gap31ds3l/

but he thinks in the long run this is the better buy
http://www.priceguidenetwork.com/com...audio-atx.html

(this is why I haven't bought an Intel processor in ages, good AMD motherboards are cheaper although the processors aren't as good o/c)
