Hmm... so did they manage to clear up the whole thing? Like the Shikimoribito, the political situation, the aftermath, etc. etc.

Cause Kanabei is the only one with skills to match Kyuzo. . Kyuzo wants the ultimate test to prove that he is the #1 samurai. I suppose in a protective way, he doesn't want Kanabei to be knocked dead by some lesser individual.

Can't stand the way they killed off Gorobei, it was just so cheap.

The Samurai 7 anime is based on the old Akira Kurosawa live-action movie Seven Samurai (Shichinin no Samurai)

I was wondering why nobody mentioned this series is aired again by NHK every friday night at 12:30. I just watched ep.12 and realized I didn't post about it. So here I am. This is indeed a good series.
Plus, the new OP and ED rock.

Samurai 7: What did you like/hate about it?

Okay I thought for the most part that this anime was pretty good. I can't say it was great, but it was good. I can't say it was great. The action was okay and the art at time were good and at other times bad. The thing that really keeps me from saying this is a great anime is the fact that it created it's own plot holes and just cold not fix it. For example:
Spoiler:

This anime is based on the movie, but truthfully even though the movie is from 1954 I think I still prefer it over the anime. I give it a C+

I don't really agree about the plot hole.
Thinking back from episode 1-3 I already kinda knew who she fell in love with.
I just never believed it. When she was about to fall of the roof she believed Kanbei would save her and he did. That was it, nail in coffin.
And then I think she never really changed her mind at all. It was always the same and at no point did she really love Katsushirou, even if there were some things that could led you to believe otherwise.
But it was always the same person when she talked about her feelings and then in episode 23 or 24 she practically confessed.
She liked Katsushirou, that was it.

What I find a bid sad besides the deaths is that Kirara got noone and practially no romance at all existed, besides the most twisted relationship of them all, Sanae and Amanushi...

Still a nice anime all in all.
