If it is clean water, not much will happen, 220/110V + clean water = danger overrated (especially if the pool is not grounded - and I doubt someone grounds a plastic pool).
edit: @NSW, I've been measuring 250kOhm in clean drinking water (distance 10mm). So based on the idea one was grounded: R=U/I => I=U/R ... I = 240V (lets take high Euro) / 250,000 = 0.96 mA (~1mA) for a distance of 10mm At 10mm one would have to withstand a power of 0.23W (typically 50mA is needed at least to kill)

Yup. It is quite possible that the pool is already charged. Then when they get out of the water the electricity will discharge into the ground through their bodies.
