Um.... you don't play the torrent file. The torrent file is there so you can get the actual file, which will be either in .avi or .ogm format. Did you download bittorrent? If you didn't, go and download it. After you do that, click on the file that you want to download and you should see the download start.

If you have installed BitTorrent then you should be able to just double-click the .torrent file and it will download the actual video. This is covered by Flash_Squirrel's BitTorrent Step-By-Step.

Not sure if its the problem, but do you have the decoders installed?
