What program does everyone use to watch Torrent?

I have tried many different things like Quicktime, Windows Media Player, RealOne, and DivX but they all say the file is in the wrong format... anyone help plz?

Um.... you don't play the torrent file. The torrent file is there so you can get the actual file, which will be either in .avi or .ogm format. Did you download bittorrent? If you didn't, go and download it. After you do that, click on the file that you want to download and you should see the download start.

oh what I meant to say was I downloaded the file already and cannot view it. I need to know which program can open it. Thanks

I don't think you have actually completed the download.

Assuming you have something like broadband, it would take somewhere between 1 to 5 hours to download a typical episode.

Have a look at that sticky by Flash_Squirrel again. Look at the image under the Last Step section, make sure it says "Download Succeeded" when you are downloading.

Only then can you try and play the file.

P.S. Then you can use something like WMP, MPC, DivX Player, they should all work.

The TORRENT file is not the complete file. Bit Torrent is the program able to open the TORRENT file.

Loading the TORRENT in your bittorrent client will connect your pc with other guys with the complete file, and the download will start.

If you have installed BitTorrent then you should be able to just double-click the .torrent file and it will download the actual video. This is covered by Flash_Squirrel's BitTorrent Step-By-Step.

i think the poor fella doesn't have the proper codecs...get ffdshow, it's enough. even if you use WMP9 without the codecs the vid won't play, u need the codec.
