But I think that male Mikuru should not make much progress in terms of becoming manly at all, unlike Kamina and Simon. That way we can preserve the character dynamics of Kyon-Haruhi-Mikuru to some extent. And it keeps shota Mikuru about as useless as the moeblob Mikuru.

And I have no comment regarding speedos.

Now my question is what to do about the Computer Society. I find it stretching suspension of disbelief a bit too much to have a computer club composed of female nerds...

Should we keep them male and have the scene with Man-Mikuru be yaoiesque?

Anyway, my thoughts on the Kyon-ko and male Mikuru (Mikuro?) dynamic would not be motherly but sibling, i.e. since she has a little brother already, an abused male Mikuru would touch upon those feelings better and still keep them apart romantically.

Two other points to make: where (or what) the mole is and how much of a dreamboat bishonen the adult version of male Mikuru would be?

The "like-brother" thing might work, in regards to Mikuru and Kyon. I'm just thinking about how to keep that dynamic from the original versions.

I think we should stick with the plan and keep everything switched. It also makes for some reversed moments, like the changing part when talking about Haruhi. Somehow I imagine some comment about how it should be the other way around from Kyon.

Ah, the infamous "men are potatoes, I don't give a damn if they see me" changing scene. How 'bout in this case, male Suzumiya is simply a douchebag who starts stripping with no regard to everyone else, and the girls are madly in love with his awesomely manly physique, and stay to watch? And Kyon-ko is the only one with enough sense to drag all the girls out of the room? Kind of kills the whole Asakura intervention though.

Or you can do that, and have Kyon-ko shrug at Asakura in silent apology. This is actually an idea I had with the real version, like Kyon was the only one not forced out as he just walked away from it, and sorta had a "sad, isn't it?" moment with Ryoko.
