It figures when I finally need my tablet pen for something again, that I can't freaking find it right now >_< I lost the original one and bought a new one. Now I've gone and misplaced the 2nd one too, lol ...

My friend has 2 pens I'll have to borrow one from her maybe ...

EDIT: Woo 100 pages~

Hmm I just realized why Itsuko looks familiar to me. Her design reminds me a bit of Maria from Hayate no Gotoku IMHO.

I was planning to grab more MoHS novels to compare with the B-T translations before I started writing more stuff, but apparently the local Kinokuniya bookstore only has Yuuutsu (volume 1, which I already have), Shoushitsu (volume 4), and Bunretsu (volume 9). Looks like I'll have to take the B-T translations (more specifically, the formatting) on faith.

I'm probably going to tackle either Mysterique Sign or Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody. The first has the problem of a normal female high school student (ie the computer club president) living alone, which is usually Not Done, and the second has the problem of Kyonko not likely to want to carry an unconscious Mitsuru before she meets Young Haruki. (Or wander off alone in the dark, for that matter.)

I'm assuming that this is your edit of Beanbrew's edit of Kaisos's Chapter 1 part 1, yes? I'll update the archive post.

Looking back at my posts in this thread, I think that if I ever do get a semi-official title, it would be "Serious Business". I have the unfortunate tendency to get really intense about writing and fanfic.

On another note, I'd try to convert the manga-only chapter "Knowing Me Knowing You", if my Chinese didn't suck so badly.

Yeah, that's my editjob of Beanbrew's editjob.

Dkellis, you should totally compile all your SRS BUSINESS posts. They're helpful.

So, there have been 81 Kyons in World of Warcraft, according to Armory listings of the US/Oceanic servers. I'd been watching to see when it would appear, and it would appear that today it just found its first Kyonko.

I've been meaning to ask you panzer: I notice you have no outlining in your fanart. Do you use something like Painter then, or just like Photoshop but you choose to delete your sketch/outline layer before finishing?

I use Photoshop, but I don't keep my outlines. My paths are straight out filled the moment that I'm done with the paths and for true outlining, I would use a stylus to draw out truly horrendous stuff. My paths overlap (I know I can use intersect to make that problem go away... but...)

At anyrate, For me to vector trace in order to duplicate oftentime means that I have to go back and purposely trace the outline and apply it on separate layers...

Edit: Lucky Star style is easy and lazy on the surface as the shading+eyes aren't as demanding, but can blow up in your face with the exaggerated body proportions!

I actually find it's harder for me to make the simple styles look good. I tried doing some sketches once in the Yotsuba style ... epic fail ^_^;;

And I suddenly feel like taking this Clannad thing further and write something for that picture...

Kyon: I feel bad for waking Haruhi up... I guess this is the only choice.
Tsuruya: Don't sweat it! If you're a guy, carry a girl or two like they're heavy sacks!
Kyon: Don't be ridiculous... (How am I a guy...)
//Kyon walks off with Haruhi
Koizumi: It looks like Suzumiya-san's comfortable.
Kyon: I get the feeling that "capital punishment for you" is coming the moment the sleepyhead wakes up.
Koizumi: Suzumiya-san doesn't hate you like you think.
Kyon: If only Haruhi would open up more to other people... she's being spoiled all the time like a child with us.
Koizumi: I think Suzumiya-san is working hard.
Kyon: maybe...
Koizumi: and that's for the better...

Kyon: So you're up.
Koizumi: you were carried all the way here like this!
Haruhi: wtf was that?
Kyon: Hear that? what did I say?
Koizumi: Suzumiya-san merely questioned what that act was about, so it was not a death sentence/
Kyon: Is that good or bad?
Haruhi: I had the strangest dream maybe cause of that.
Kyon: More alien, right?
Haruhi: yes. I was playing with Aliens, espers and time travelers...

...

(and it's SOS Matsuri~)
Haruhi: So, just what's the plan for the SOS Matsuri?
Kyon: How the hell would I know about that?
Koizumi: But that sounds like fun.

We're going good. Right now, thinking over whether or not if I should actually draw illustrations for vol1 as well. I don't really draw lineart... and the style won't be that of Noiji Ito sensei's at all.

//And I just ninja'd post no.2000 apparently.
