Yay for episode 2. Got to see the raw, don't understand a good portion obviously although I can make out the basics I guess. Anyway overall, I really liked the episode, can't wait for more!

Ozma drives a Lancia Delta HF Integrale, not any mere Jeep. An awesome character like him deserves a fvck awesome car.

And Armoured VFs can now transform

And the Itano Circus.

My god, I was squealing like a little girl at those two scenes.

I'm really hoping that the appearance of Fire Bomber songs means that we're looking at cameos/appearances from you-know-who later on in the series.

Armoured VF-25 firing off its missiles was made of awesomeness and totally made me squee.

Nice to note the different variants of the 25. Luca seems to be flying the ELINT variant of it and Micheal was flying the 25 equivalent of a VF-1A.

Absolute LOL at the tan n00b 25s in the SMS hanger. XDXD

The guy on the right when alto gets thrown out of the sms base has a look on his face of pure disgust/anger, I dont think he could look any more pissed than that. For some reason that scene made me laugh

Was great to hear some Fire Bomber playing, really liked this episode... 10/10 from me.

Me too hope, but for different reason. I'd like to know the biggest mystery of M-7 (namely, has the "you-know-who" married with a certain pink-haired).

I don't know what it is, but watching marcoss has so far been an enjoyable experience for me, almost as if rather than looking for the bad things, I put all my attention into to story. It's been really good so far ^^ The enemy alien thing was defeated not by Alto, as he was too busy saving Ranka. Even so he was treated harshly by Ozma and was questioned on how the former pilot of the mecha he controlled died. Much to his surprise, his friends were also for this special defense force and he never knew. Another of the tough alien type activates and the defense squad scrambles, leaving Alto despite his offer to help. Meanwhile Sheryl was looking for Alto, and finds him in the end. Anyway overall, I really liked the episode, can't wait for more! Spoiler for Thoughts on ep 2: I found the music to be pretty nice and epic and fitting for the action scenes early on this time, compared to the broadcast episode 1 debacle. Also nice recreation of the catching minmei thing from the original Macross 1 (ironically 'falling' toward the sky/space instead of the ground). It seems he figured out how to change modes also since Alto briefly changes to fighter mode instead of gerwalk that he was in for most of the episode to get back inside. Interesting that Michael 1) gets the blue valkyrie, which was Max's in the original and well we knew he was the ace so wonder if Michael will live up to that and 2) he was able to change his gatling rifle into a sniper kinda mode. Wonder if that is a standard feature or if it was something specialized for him. Didn't really like that Ozma needed to whip out some sorta vibro/energy knife to take out the red alien, hopefully it won't play out like that the whole series since I liked macross' generally more realistic kind of mecha combat. We don't get to see Luca in action at all so it'll be interesting to see what he is capable of. It seems based on the quick flashback around 3:28 that Lanca, and presumably Ozma had seen these aliens before, which makes Ozma's comment in episode 1 about them "they've come finally, lanca' to make more sense. Also around 8:40 I think I heard Lanca confirm that she is part Zentran to Alto.
