Use some network analysis tool to check if your connections are actually successful, you can do that with netstat -abn in a command line, or TCPView is a nice GUI for it. It'll also show you whether they're TCP or UDP connections. The UDP client requires different nodes to be added, example, peerto.com/node shows them as A, where EX2 is for TCP. I'd really reccomend you use the TCP client. The actual port you use doesn't matter provided it's properly forwarded btw.

When you think you're properly connected, do a generic search like アニメ and see if you get results. The search interface has a bunch of boxes that are greyed by default (I think), which you need to click to display search results. Click Remote, DB etc until they light up to make sure it displays any results.

Yay I finally got it to start working, I realized I got the wrong nodes by adding EX2 nodes into my NT5 share instead, stupid me. Sorry bout this everyone.
