Too long? He was enjoying himself. Work and pleasure are inseparable for Alucard.

And for a ranged-fighter, Rip is very powerful. But there's no point when she can't stop him regenerating.
Her mission was a suicidal one anyway; as it was pointed out, her goal was to trap Alucard on open water, she wasn't ever meant to defeat him. Hence as she succeeded her mission, she was not burned up like the others and was instead given a proper farewell by the rest of the army.

They should be making the entire manga, which will probably be 2, maybe 3 more episodes (to get where it is now which looks like the end, wonder if this month is the last one), then the Dawn in the end of that.

Episode 4 is more of a transition episode, there is a LOT of action coming up, and some interesting development, which will happen very fast. So don't be disheartened. Rip served her purpose, and was done well.

The fourth episode was the appetitizer for things to let all hell bound loose in the carnival of flesh and blood cuisine that's going to be the fifth episode.

Got to give kudos to the Major. His "I-Love-War" speech to his men was the finest piece of black drama that ever graced my ears.

Integra and the rest of the people in the Hellsing-verse pretty much underrated the Major. The guy is neither insane nor nuts. The guy is war and lives to bring war into the very doorstep of his neighbors and strangers alike.

Go Major! Aüf wiederschen!

Alucard is the only hellhound soul in the entire existence of the universe that clearly understand the Major's passion for war, and the two are eagerly to go at each other's necks while clearing the garbage away to pave way for another battlefield of bloodlust and merciless manslaughter.

I take it that you're a manga reader. If not, it's not too late to join the ranks. Heck, it's NEVER too late to join, with Hirano's lack of speed in the chapters.

Tobita Nobuo was the key in making the Major a successful character, apart from his excellent lines. I can draw some parallels between the Major and his character in Getbackers: the "Jackal" Akabane Kurodo. (the manga; anime blows).
