Uh... looks like me too... Anyway, I'd prefer your older version because the color balance of the new version is kinda too purple-ish, maybe rather than adjusting the color you can try creating a new layer of the background on top of the render with a very low opacity (just like in my abstract sig tutorial). I found that it's quite working for me. However, I like the older version the way it is. The only downthing for me is I think is maybe the text, maybe some font change, color change and some nice effects?

Of course, those are only my personal toughts, feel free to ignore it

... I want to create some Touhou sigs too ...

Haven't thought of a different background but changed the main color of the bg.
Since I realized that purple-ish bg somehow doensn't suit a yellow text, I changed the bg color into blue, and made the text a little more radiant.



Since Alice has a lot of blue on her outfit (though not much shown because it's on her lower part), I decided to do that.
