Mashima probably wants to conclude the arc at or before chapter 100.
I wish I could've seen Mashima at Comic-Con, I would've asked him to do an ErzaxNatsu sketch. If this pairing ever happens I will run out and buy every single volume of FT in a heartbeat. Lucy can go have fun with her cow for all I care

I always liked the pace of events in FT, Mashima manages to progress the story very fast without rushing it where it would become annoying, at least that's the feeling i have, the same with recent chapters, the pace is fine with me. It's one of the features that make this series more appealing to me than others where certain arc are stretched to oblivion, especially greater fights.

As I said before, FT has the potential to be up there with Bleach and Naruto, hands down. I just want to see it exist long enough for it to happen. |

Simply put, there are just too many kinds of manga. Successful Shonen Jump ones run forever, or, well, at least more than a few years; so are a few shoujo classics (some legendary ones last something like more than three decades and ongoing! ). Others run on more reasonable lengths, and there are always one-shots. Every story has its length after all. To use an example from one manga-ka, Ken Akamatsu, his first long-running series A.I. Love You is 8 volumes, his big hit Love Hina 14, and his latest one Negima! have long since crossed 20 and is ongoing with no end in sight. Rave Master is not short though. Rave Master is 35 volumes. |

If you look closely, those are grinding noises in the little boxes at the bottom left, hence chewing. Last edited by cloak_and_dagger; 2008-08-02 at 23:19. |
