Question Another one: Suggestions needed. (I've already been at Anime Planet)

Hello,

I'm new here. Could anyone please recommend
me anime series according to my interests?

So far I like:

Trigun
Fruits Basket
Jungle wa itsumo hale nochi guu
Princess tutu
Scrapped Princess
Shingetsutan Tsukihime
Ayashi no Ceres
Utena
Hellsing
Es Otherwise
Kare Kano

I dislike:

Naruto
Chobits
FLCL
Full Metal Panic
Abenobashi mahou shotengai
Excel Saga
Puni puni poemi
Hunter X Hunter
Azumanga Daioh
Ebichu
mechas, soppy characters/plots...

I prefer something with an interesting plot and characters
and, as said before, I already went to Anime Planet.

Bye and thanks

Thanks for such fast reply , I'll
search for information about those
series.

I'm not looking for any category in particular,
but I don't like some kinds of them, like those
that contain only silly jokes, one after another.

I'm looking for something special in some aspect,
it doesn't really need an extraordinary original
plot, but it has to have substance and something
that makes it different from the other series.

It also wouldn't hurt if it had some black humour,
well developed characters, between other things
(I can't think of anything right now, I'm a little
tired, I'll add some other characteristics tomorrow)

Ciao

Stellvia is licensed. It can't be downloaded anymore and it will be a while before the DVDs come out.

full metal alchemist has substance and a good plot but may appear filler like from ep 1 - 15 eps, due to its character development although i felt that there was a story involved (not sure how other viewers have seen it). I highly recommend this to all anime watchers.

Planetes is an anime which focuses on people aboard a spaceship, and really is pretty much character development and pretty much focuses on sub plots episode by episode until ep 18 or something like that. Pretty much a slice of life type of anime based upon what is likely to happen to the future of human species. May appear to have soppy characters in the anime but don't be mislead! Probably not so much an anime if you are not interested in anime without much of a story or a plot line, but this is definitely a series that is different from others.

Definitely download Galaxy Railways, pretty serious show, strong characters, and a great plot made by one of animation's greats, Leiji Matsumoto.

Bakahetsu tenshi and Tenjou Tenge and possibly Shadow Skill. oh yeh, try out Spiral for a serious anime. it's a realistic anime, that it doesnt contain outrageous stuff, but focuses on the human life and not mecha. martial arts and .....*sigh* pr0n
