I got bored mid-way...was renting via netflix...and stopped at episode 6 wondering WHAT am I watching? I've heard that it gets better..>What did I actually miss?? Tentacles and what is Mikuru's vision?

Nope...I don't usually rent that sort of thing. Each to their own. Picked up the regular tv version.

(btw...how many current popular animes are BASED off of a hentai version or game???)

It's not that obvious in the TV version but Mikuru is in love with the old man.

That part is a bit hard to explain, but that all happens in the Hentai version if I remember right.

Wasn't the Hentai version a completely different storyline?
If I remember correctly, it was a prequel to the non-hentai series.

Yes it was, but there is a story line from the TV series that connects with the OVA version. Also, I thought the director added those "scenes" in order to get enough fincances for the TV version of MEZZO FORTE. I think the creator talks about the concept of what he wanted from the TV series in the OVA.

I remember that episode! That was how I first discovered the existance of Mezzo Forte. The animation style was totally different back then.
And are you suggesting that the sex scenes were added to get funding?

I am thinking that he added the sex scenes from the Mezzo Forte OVA to help get get funding for the TV series or was it the scenes for KITE. I do remeber that he added the sex scenes in one of those two OVA's for funding. I will have to rewatch the creator's interview that is on the Director's cut version of MEZZO FORTE to see if he mentions that.

Was finally able to retrieve the episodes again.

Last time I had problems and lost the HD when I was midway through the series.

Now, back to it, there is something bothering me: is there any Statute of limitations for homicide in Japan? I always knew that there was no such thing for killing someone all around the world.

Took a little while, being that I had other things to do and other animes to watch, but it was worth it.
While the anime wasn't nothing new, it had nice characters (Asami!

), and good stories.
A pleasure to watch (and, in the end, see Asami kicking ass).
