I think that Mr. Marlheit is a natural comedian.
He invites other people's laughter though he is serious.
It is regrettable that he appears only in the first arc.
I think that the reason for Mr. Marlheit's popularity in Japan is an influence of funny CM for DVD.

Incidentally, Mr. Marlheit's voice actor is the same voice actor as Data in a Star Trek The Next Generation Japanese dubbed version.
They have the similar character.

Woo, and here I thought Brent Spiners' first VA gig would be Marlheit. You freaked me out for a second, there.

Spice and Wolf as Wagon Train or Star Trek?? Oh, wow.
I know exactly what you mean there, but I would never have thought to compare S&W to those shows for any reason.

Heh, yeah its "cast of characters on journey, meet new people and adventures, then move on".

Trivia: Star Trek was originally pitched as a "Wagon Train in the stars". Wagon Train was a popular Western series in the early 60s.

Wasn't in the beginning, but I knew she'd start breaking free eventually.

now if we included Horo's tail (as someone suggested) as a separate choice.. that would make Horo some competition ^_^

I'm surprised to see chloe doesn't have many votes. Even though she's an anime original character she was actually quite enjoyable (though that probably had a lot to do with the voice for me).

She cost Horo's tail some hair. I don't know how anyone could vote for her. Are you even human?

Hmmm, I seem to accidently voted for Chloe when I meant to vote for Nora. o.O
O well, so it goes....

Chloe made an interesting villain. She had the hots for Lawrence but also a bad "my way or no way" streak under her professional veneer.

Wouldn't bother me. Figure Horo has to be much better than the people currently running a lot of countries .
