Last year seems to indicate a significant drop in voter numbers after the Tsukasa-Shinku match. Also shows what looks like an abandonment of Rena the imediate following this match with Rena verse Nagi. If one considers Rena's numbers from last year and this year, there seems to be a point where people give up on her, or maybe got complacent.

After that match the numbers rose slightly for Rika and Shinku and ended with better numbers in Rika vs Nagi, but nothing like Rena vs Kagami, or Fate-Gin-(Satoko) from eariler in the tournament.

2006's Fate vs Desu seems to be the anomoly in voting numbers compared to everything else.

i guess there is some magical balance they have to find in restricting who can participate and growing the tourny.. especally in this format... it definitly makes it feel different from the last 2 years... hmmm

I really didnt follow the bestmoe much this year (or even remember all that much last year) .. but could have sworn they were look in the 1500s this year (and what.. 1000s-1300s last year?) (1500s per chara that is).

I hope it will be better nextyear.
That is because stricter regulation on issuing codes. Thing won't get better unless they loosen the rule.

There are actually high chances to repeat past Saimoe this year.

Twins' final = 2004; Hina wins = 2005/06 (dolls')

Best Moe was getting as high as low 5,000s towards the end. with 3,000s being more common. Per character.

This is what I'm afraid of. Bridesmaid's revenge! Nothing against Hina, but she's the only one out of the final 8 that I'm not familiar with.

Or we could see a repeat of the '07 tournament when someone unheralded wins it all (Kirino or possibly even Nagisa in this case). Although I would be happy if either of them won it.

You must not get what I meant.

2005 runner-up Souseiseki (Rozen Maiden)
2006 champion Suiseiseki (Rozen Maiden)

2007 runner-up Nagi (Hayate the Combat Butler)

Hayate the Combat Butler needs only Hina to be 2008's champion to repeat dolls' story.

You really need to check the show (manga will be better though) out, and you will know Hina is good. Of course, Kagami-sama is the best (in absence of Sheryl and Fate).

MGLN had same story.
2005 champion Takamachi Nanoha(MGLN)
2006 runner-up Fate Testarossa(MGLN)

Heh, same as RM, but champion and runner-up, reversed. Though I guess that does make the one difference, since champion came before runner-up.

I understood exactly what you meant, and I even stated the same theory previously in the topic.
Rozen Maiden runner up one year (bridesmaid) then won next year. HnG can do the same thing this year, hence the bridesmaid comment.

Sorry for I didn't go through all posts. I thought your "bridesmaid" stood for low-profile...

Misunderstanding is a terrible thing.

Depends on which matches and how many fans it attracts. I think I recall the Akari vs. Hinagiku match drawing 10k votes.

You're really missing out on a good chunk of girls without watching HnG. There was Izumi, Isumi, Hinagiku, Nagi, Sakuya, Maria, and Saki who made it this year if I recall correctly.

Yeah I know. Last year Rika won and I knew nothing about Higurashi. Now I'm currently watching it and realize there are a lot of great girls there. Shion, Mion, Rena, Rika, Hanyuu, Satoko. Yum indeed.

But I don't really have time to watch 50+ eps of HnG.

I can't believe you forgot the most important one.

Spoiler for size:

2 seasons of Higurashi are not much less than that.

I manage to only watch one ep of Higurashi a day at the rate I'm going (currently following 7 series this season, as well as studying for university exams).

Hermione isn't in Saimoe. I'm not sure if she should be or not. Was Jun in Saimoe?

Boo. Study faster, reward yourself with anime. I'm in college and I can still manage 21 currently airing series.

S/he was as a girl.

Just done a little digging. What a coincidence! Your Hina made Jun depart from last year Saimoe in the first round.

You sure you didn't lose the count because too tired from watching?

21!?

Well I also spend way too much time here on AS. I managed to somehow maintain a 21 post per day average.

I can't you forgot that one, neutralizer. I remember voting for Jun. If I had to do that all over again, definitely voting for Hina. I don't vote for her enough... for example, the last QF match.

Fate? You mean faith right? Otherwise it doesn't make sense...
