Quite the opposite, in fact. The only reason I'm still tolerating the nonsense in hopes the girl from episode 1 who throws lightning bolt will show the symptom for unrequited love for the hero that nullifies everything with his godly hand. Like Kaoru, I was also tempted to drop the series after episode 2, but that one little thing is keeping my interest somewhat.

Yeah, Yamakan has definitely captured the visual with the right choice of music for the OP.

Gave it a 6. Didn't really like Zange that much, the humour was mainly derived from breast jokes which are getting old, and the ending is making it seem like a forced harem anime with all the girls living with him for some reason.

Don't worry, Mikoto is the true powerhouse of that show. That moe nun is in a worse shape than Zenge-chan ever can be. Zenge is either loved or hated, but people do pay a lots attention to her, while lately Index is plainly ignored by many novel readers.

I don't know how he works, but I suspect the music comes first and he builds the animation from there.

I see the OP/ED lurking at the usual place already, those who're addicted to it are probably feeling pretty happy

Only the OP single I believe, as the ED doesn't come out for another month or so? Someone enlighten me.

The animation is so superb. Pretty surprising how many different images are included in this, just for tiny movements of hair and whatever.
Hehe thanks for the pic. I love this girl.

My first time posting in here. Gotta admit w/ the other posters that the voice actors in this series are doing an excellent job. It all just comes so natural. Makes me feel as though the characters are actually real(/add the fact w/ the "movements" when they speak). The story so far isn't really breathtaking or anything. But just watching the characters interact w/ each other is really refreshing and easy to watch. I hope the quality doesn't go down or anything. I'm really liking the series. (oh and btw Zange is really out of place in this slice-of-life esque w/ gods etc.. theme. Her tying up Nagi and stepping on her head lol. I didn't really like it).

guess I need to slurp the OP/ED off of a fansub as MP3s to stick in my player til the OSTs come out.
I'm not sure putting that OP on the MP3 player was a great plan. Listened to it numerous times and now it will never leave my head . Though not sure if that's a bad thing or not. Agree about the ED though.

Yeah love or hate she will be noticed that's for sure. Index isn't bad, though will be glad for more middle school shocker appearances .

It's starting to remind me of Ai Yori Aoshi, the first two episodes impress only to transform into another contrived harem. Can't say if it's cliché or commonplace yet, after all the 'fun' has barely begun.

Still, I remain hopeful.

The meaning of names has interested me for some time, so I looked it up and appropriately enough, "Zange" means "repentance; confession; penitence" in terms of Buddhism.

Another good episode, and it is also good to see that there is a healthy amount of discussion going on here

I'm not much of a Zange fan but she doesn't rub me a bad way. Though the torturing scene was kind of...weird

It had 'RAPE' written all over it.

The quirky humor also worked perfectly as usual XD Nagi there with her hilarious expression and over the top yelling, it just warms me up watching that ^^

it would be strange not to find different meanings to a Japanese name nowadays...

Zange-chan sure has a very "meaningful" name with regards to her cosplay theme... sort of... it makes more sense now, since her name is not very common, I think...

So is the reason Zange still has a considerable amount of power tied to the fact that her tree is still intact or because she derives new worshippers from being a local celebrity?

If the later is true she seems to be encroaching on Nagi's side of the bridge cause Jin had to escort her pass the bridge during their first meeting.

To answer, yes and yes. She's intent on taking over both sides of the river. Her tree is weakened by its entrapment within the "foreign religion's fence", but she's already figured out that she can save herself by becoming an idol (perhaps even driving away the incursion). Since Nagi's tree was cut down (and originally they were "one"), I speculate that Zange just figures that "older sister" Nagi will fade away and then Zange can inevitably be the sole deity of the land.

Nagi has been sleeping too long .... we'll see if she can make up the disadvantage.

We're talking about Zange-chan, nothing wrong whatsoever with that

Loved this episode and has been waiting for this part to be animated ever since I read the particular manga chapter (and Ryukishi07's illustration).

The music from the licking scene and the encounter flashback keeps on repeating in my head.

Fondly recalling Rosette Christopher right now... and to be technical, Zange is a god, not a nun. She's just scamming for the income.

Index is a nun, who wishes she could fly out of that stinker of a show

A kappa is a japanese fantastic creature, gross if not repulsive. So perverted kappa would be quite an insult.
