Lyrics

Are there any certain places to look for song lyrics for relatively new opening and ending songs? I always hear that fansubbers use the offical lyrics once they're released, but unless they somehow find their way to animelyrics.com, I can never find them and end up having to listen and figure them out myself (usually completly in hiragana/katakana leaving out the kanji.)

Can anyone help here?

Yup, this could of went in the music section, but I felt it was more relavent to fansubbing since I'm pretty much asking other fansubbers where they get their lyrics from after they're released.

Umm, www.utamap.com is where everyone goes to get their official lyrics, which usually has lyrics for 90%+ of new japanese songs that release official lyrics. If you can't read and type in Japanese you're gonna have trouble finding them, though. Also speaking from experience I have purchased the official CDs of songs many times just to get the official lyrics sheet from it (a lot of anime songs that are not released into the pop circuit do not make there way to utamap for example). Lastly there is a magazine that gets published periodically that lists the official lyrics for shows ahead of time before the CDs are released. I've also used that in the past and I know other groups have as well. Sometimes in certain japanese magazines they put lyrics + music sheets in for new songs too.

Hope that helps some.
