Bit Torrent Clients Freeze Computer

Ok, so for the last couple weeks, I've been trying to solve the problem of my computer freezing when I'm downloading with torrents. Until a couple weeks ago, I have never had any issues with torrents, and I've done nothing to change my system in any way. No new softwar or hardware installed, and suddenly in the last 2 weeks my computer has been freezing after I start my bittorrent clinets.

Generally I get 30 minutes to 2 hours worth of downloading then my computer freezes and needs a hard reboot. This has happened with uTorrent, ABC, and Azuerus. Any suggestions to correct this would be helpful. If you need more information, let me know what.

Could be a failing hard disk due to bad sector. Check if your hard disk indicator lights show constant activity.
Do a surface scan using chkdsk /r if you can.

I'd guess disk problems are to blame, too. BT really exercises a hard drive since it reads and writes each file as a collection of disparate individual chunks. I'd also check to make sure you're not running low on disk space.

As seijiSensei said running low on disk space, I would say that will be the problem, also maybe you've cluttered up your computer so use defragment to get rid of some of it.
