The summary reads like a parody of MariMite, but with the Zetsubou folks working on it I can see t turning into a comedy with a bit of pathos. This is probably the only winter show I'm actually intrigued by.

I added spoiler tags but nothing in there wasn't anything we didn't already get from the summary. All I added was my opinion of the plot and characters while going through the manga.

Still it should be in spoiler tags, because there are quite a few people who don't know a thing about the manga, and want to keep it that way. I've spoken to quite a few of them on this forum.

Staffs for the first episode looks good to me, except the person who wrote the screenplay... as long as the story follow closely to the manga, I think it should be fine. Animation quality should be as good as you want it to be. Still scared of a still image, though.

By the way, this series is MFI, shouldn't it be noted as such?

I enjoyed World Desturction quite a bit, so i don't have a problem with Yokotani Masahiro. Though i will agree that the rest of the staff look great. Good choices.

I've been having that problem with the site for awhile. The solution is to go back to the top, then try the page again. For some reason it never loads the first time.

I'm a bit annoyed that it wasn't real yuri but the premise sounds pretty amusing and its Shaft, so there's a decent chance I'll enjoy this.

From what I've read of the manga Maria's attitude just pisses me off too much. Not to mention that it seems so much like 'how to turn a yurikko straight'.

If it turns out to be genuine yuri I'll watch it. But at this point, no way in hell.

Slick_rick Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2008 Location: Philadelphia, Pa	Spoiler for Manga: I'm on the wall about this series. I checked out the translated chapters and scanned though the raws so far. I few things turn me off to the series. One is the sadist male character with no redeeming qualities who goes around doing as he choices unopposed. The main girl doesn't even realize she has much more on him and can use that to her advantage but instead she just lets him push her around. His character seems ripped right out of your standard Shoujo manga. After checking up on it, looks like the author writes Shoujo also so this explains that. Another is adding the hate of boys due to a traumatic event during childhood. So cliche. I mean a girl must have some kind of trauma if she doesn't like penis right? Seen it to often. The story inevitable ending will be girl gets over hate of men and gets with the cross-dresser, who she forgives for doing mean and unconscionable things to her because he meant "well" or some other nonsense. Why not just change the name of the manga to "Penis wins"? Even with this the comedy is done fairly well. Also the main character when not being the male's lapdog is fairly entertaining and interesting. I could do without the nose bleeding though as I never understood why that was ever considered funny in any anime. The other girls though are a bit cliche and less interesting so far. The production staff gives me a lot of hope though so we'll see if I'll pick this up. I don't have a comedy anime to watch yet next season so I might. This probably won't live up to School Rumble in terms of being a good romantic comedy but I could see that when I saw they were using Yuri to try to cover up the lack of interesting characters and cliche plot. __________________ Last edited by Slick_rick; 2008-11-21 at 07:10.
