Children of Mana is just an uninspired Diablo rip-off that looks worse than the original Secret of Mana.

I personally like the DS better than the PSP, but it seems like there are more PSP than DS games I want to play. I have both, though. :P

PSP games tend to feature nice CG cutscenes, while the DS tends to feature a larger variety of games to choose from. Personally, I prefer Gundam games to be on the psp, while rpg games for the DS. One thing I don't like about the DS is that some games, such as Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness, it utilizes the stylus pen and does not allow the use of the gamepad, which makes the gameplay rather slow. On the other hand, I played Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon without the stylus pen and it makes me like the DS a lot more.

The PSP has multi-purposes and it also allows playing Gundam games or other games with somebody else's game save, whereas the option is unavailable with the DS or rather to say, there is no point in doing so in DS games. It feels so good to play Gundam Battle Chronicle with tons of awesome mobile suits to choose from rather than my own Gerbera Tetra, Gouf, Kampfer, and Sazabi. I like the nu Gundam, GP01-Fb, S-Gundam, etc.. Blue Destiny looks great too!

Most of my favorite Atlus games are available on the DS exclusively, not mentioning that most of NISA and also Harvest Moon games also appear on the DS. It definitely has more games.

It is one of those game that grabs your attention and you get hook to it, or it doesn't. But i would still recommend people to give it a try, especially if you're in to anime and manga.

I've heard they're also really difficult tend to kick your ass constantly, but I haven't played them myself.

We can't rent games in France, so I would have to rely on someone who bought the game if I want to try it.

If i can, I will.

Can we just like both? o_0 Seriously, I own both and have found both systems to have good attributes and huge flaws. The DS is a family-friendly handheld for the most part and pumps out some fairly original games (Ace Attorney, The World Ends With You). While the PSP is a graphical monster when its' capabilities are fully tapped. (Crisis Core LOOKED amazing, even if you didn't like the game, it was still gorgeous.) I find most of the games for the DS and PSP okay for the most part. I've played a variety of DS games this summer for example, and I only found 2 out of the 6 I played worth playing. For my PSP, the only two games I've enjoyed were Crisis Core and Star Ocean. I feel that both handhelds need libraries with better games for the most part. The PSP needs more than remakes and ports while the DS needs more games that go over the "E" rating. (I know they exist, but I've only seen a few.)

Overall, both systems are good time killers but neither really have exceeded my expectations or anything. But don't get me wrong, I like playing either system when a good game comes out for one of them.

Yes, getting both is the best. They only downside is that you get too many games to play. At least its happening to me.

What world are you living in? The DS Lite, after all these years, is still on sale for exactly the same price as when it came out. Being a poor college student, I'm still waiting for a price drop. The release of the DSi may finally provide this.

I'm not sure how the PSP gets a bad reputation from the whole "ports and remakes" argument. The majority of popular DS games are ports and remakes, and playing games while carrying them around is pretty much the point of the handheld (Read: PlayStation PORTABLE). Playing Afternoon of Darkness pretty much changed my outlook on these things.

Also, a lot of good PSP games go ignored due to lack of interest in the console.

There are 2 system original IPs in the top 10.

And one enhanced port. What, sequels now count as remakes? LOOOOOOOOL. You'd find more ports and remakes if you'd used sales as an indicator of popularity and even then there are more original IPs and sequels than there are ports and remakes.

Saying "lol no" doesn't count as fact.
