I wasn't even trying to draw any parallels between the two. And I don't really see any reason in your post that resses me to express my knowledge of the bible.

Your are being somewhat close minded... jesus carried the burden of everyone to wash away our sin's... in a similar way itachi took the burden of being an outcast, murderer. in order to keep the shame of his clan's betrayal secret.. stopping civil war and saving the village he loved, making it a happier place... I dont think it was ever Aurora's intention to draw Itachi as the same type of person, but more emphasize on certain parts which are similar.. Like parallel's in his almost martyr like sacrifice... the way itachi killed his sense of self... just to achieve this, shows that he never lusted for power nor wealth or fame... but craved for a world of peace...

how many of us would become the most hated man on earth to see its survival... to have everyone we ever loved disown us.. just to see them flourish and the world become a better place...

jesus endured torture, blasphemy, shame .... so all of us could be free of the sin's which burdened us... like itachi he made the greatest sacrifice... his self for another...

That's exactly what Naomi and I wanted to point out. That's the deal! I wonder how people can be blinded by religious fanatism in the 21st century yet again. I never wanted to start any brainless discussion about beliefs and religion, that's nothing that belongs here or even interests me.
So there are still people who are absolutely intolerant, defending their religion like a fortress made of stone.

This is hilarious

Thanks for this post, Gamma. I have to emphasize again that I'm thankful for your post.

Regards, AuroraFlash

Well his character was always cool... he was seen to be cold blooded, ruthless and was a true ninja which was to be marveled...

Yet the scenes of his fight with sasuke.. and the revelations which are to follow are rather powerful... the tears of blood.... are to us at the time.. seen as the ultimate cost for power.. yet from what we learn it gives a sense of grief which he felt.. the pain he suffered and the great burden he perched so selflessly on his back... the flicking of his finger upon his brothers forehead... showing us that he is that same loving brother he once was and even on his way out he still fought to protect what he loved... I also enjoyed the rain falling down.. almost washing away the sins he had committed... his burden once and for all lifted

After this part in the manga Itachi change a lot in my eyes... he was someone who I admired... not only for his prowess as a skilled ninja but his complexities challenged the logic of what we had known... and forced us to realize that virtue and heroism is much more than saving the day in the glory of a great hokage... and that his will of fire burned just as bright as those great men/women...

@nutype: Maybe the comparisson wasn't that great, but he wasn't trying to offend you either. You need to seriously work on your attitude (so do I), couldn't you just say you disagree with the analogy and that's it? No you have to go and start a religious discussion on a naruto thread? Real mature. Yes you where talking to a 15 year old, you may be older than her, have more experience, more knowledge etc. but nothing gives you the right to behave like you are superior, and complaining over typos? Again real mature.

@GS: He plays a role that is essential and exists in every wars.

We hail the great leaders for winning their wars, yet you will never know the name of that one soldier that made the difference in the battlefield, the spy that died on duty gathering the inteligence needed for the victory and no one ever knew he even existed. Nameless heroes and some, like Itachi, are seen as villains instead of heroes by most, because only a few know the truth.

mhmm totally agree... he is the unsung hero of konoha... i think most people underestimate that.. partly because he helped sasuke who most cant stand lol.... we still have to see what power he gave to naruto as well.. so his influence on the story is still rather relevant... all in all hes a great character... I guess one regret was never seeing him go all out in battle... we saw his abilities which were astonishingly overpowered (Susanoo)... but 1v1 vs someone he wanted to kill.. i think we would of realized his true potential...

Itachi was able to kill anyone. He was like an ascended version of Kakashi, with the perfect Uchiha body, two MS eyes and he could use a lot of techniques. Well, I know about fire, water and his special MS Jutsu. He was good at using water techniques and also fire techniques, but his true strength was genjutsu. He also was a brilliant genjutsu user who even surpassed Kurenai, the genjutsu specialist of Konoha. I have no doubt that he could have been the ultimate genjutsu specialist in Konoha if things went differently.

His taijutsu skills are nearly unmatched. With his Sharingan, he obviously could use the special three tomoe eye of insight and he was very fast. If Asuma was a hell of a guy, Itachi was the devil himself.

He could have become Hokage.

lol, Itachi was the devil himself!

I agree, Itachi did have all the qualities, skills, and strengths to become Hokage. Possibly even the greatest of the Hokage. He was unparalled un nearly every aspect of jutsu that he praticed. Plus, the MS was just the icing on the cake. Itachi never ever actually showed his true power, because he never wanted to kill. Itachi could've taken down Kakashi, Kurenai, and Asuma with ease, had he been aiming to kill them, but he obviously wasn't.

I think Itachi didn't really name it. It belonged to his genjutsu style, but as we've seen other Konoha ninjas using crows, I wonder if it's actually typical for Konoha to use them or if that other guy just stole the idea from Itachi and uses them for his techniques aswell.

It's not listed among his jutsu.

I was clearly not the first person to bring Jesus into the topic.

Secondly he didnt offend me, you seem to have made the assumption that I'm Christian. I'm not a Christian, I dont believe in Jesus or the bible or any of the miracles in it. I was simply pointing out the patent absurdity of comparing anyone that makes self sacrifice to Jesus especially when said person killed an entire village (hello?? anyone read this part? lol). If anyone wants to take offense to that and complain that's another issue.

Never said that if you read properly. If you continue reading what i wrote you will see that I myself thought the analogy wasn't that great so why are you trying to tell me it wasn't good again? And where did I make the assumption that you are christian? You acuse me of assuming something and you are the one assuming. I pointed out that you reacted like you felt ofended, it was just a comparison no need to have that attitude. I think I made myself clear so I'm gonna stop with the offtopic.

He didn't kill an entire village, he killed his own clan members, because they were planning a coup d'état which would have caused war and he was ordered to kill them and had to make a difficult choice, but without this decision, even more people would have died, so he decided to do it at all costs.

Can I ask you one question, please? You're talking about the Bible all the time. Have you even read one Naruto manga or do you know from hearsay?
