Don't really feel like correcting all of them right now as I don't have the game with me so I'm going to point out that this

Finally finish reading ep4...gonna save the tea parties for later, and deductions for even later...thoughts and comments:

Spoiler for First Half: Title~Sakutaro:

-Similar to Himatsubushi-hen, ep4 is much like a side arc that accompanies the other question arcs. It adds lots of infomation, but the focus is definitely not anti-mystery vs anti-fantasy any more.
-It's interesting how the main focus of the game is on Enje and Maria. Definitely a fantasy-heavy episode as they talked about them learning magic and what nots.
-It was a bit confusing at start as it jumps around in the time line, yet in the meta sense that Maria and Enje knew about events that would happen between them "in the future" (ie Maria (pre-rokkenjima) knew about Enje breaking off from alliance (which took place when Enje was in St.Lucia))
-It's arguable that Ginzo is probably dead already before all the game starts, but still surprised me when he first showed up.
-"Blue Truth"...didn't get used too much
-I knew that Rosa isn't a good mother from ep1-3, but ep4 sure has brought her to new heights...Enje has a harsh life in the academy too.
-The events and new casts that appears in the "12 years later" timeframe is interesting. Not too much was mentioned about Amagusa, Okonnogi changed his hair color, Kazumi is kinda meh.
-Bottled note kinda strengths the "novel-theory" of episode 1, but quite intriguing that it also linked to episode 2.
-Nice to see some of the named people to finally get a potrait (ship captain, Nanjo son, Saba son)...I wonder if this hints that they will have a bigger role in later episodes.

Spoiler for Bottom Half: To witches' Island ~ Ushiromiya Enje:

-Ginzo...I had my suspicions for you in Ep1, but you didn't have to go overboard with your summons
-Gapp (Gaap?)...intresting new character, tho not as refreshing as Nia's appearance is ep3. That costume sure ensures good air flow
-Siesta 00...at first kinda reminded me of sakamoto from strike witches. Alright personality, and seeing the trio is action was fun. I wonder if the other Siesta would get to show up even tho they kinda stopped talking about her...
-I thought Kannon would level up again and this time be able to beat more stakes or maybe even the siesta sisters...turns out that it's Shannon that gets a boost, now being able to do "hacking" and "counter emp"
-Jessica and George fight. The first thing I thought was, "is Ryukishi07 trying to promote a fighting game or something?" It's nice to see them fight, added with magical abilities, but also makes me wonder, "why didn't they use that in ep1~3?"
-Krauss fight was very funny, with the counter multipliers and the "loser flag" multiplier. The whole escape scene was well done, loaded with humor and action at the same time.
-Battler and his crime...Beato and Beatrice...
-Enje vs Kazumi + evil witch + Eva...I guess it's kinda cool in a sense, but I'm starting to get confused when thinking in a anti-fantasy sense"
-Enje at the end revealed some good hints...but the red text spam at the end appeared too fast and I couldn't catch them all...

Spoiler for speculations and irresponsible theories:

-Probably one of the biggest thing at the end was Battler. From the red texts that we can speculate that he's actually Kyrie's son. He's not Asumu's son, but still Kinzo's grandchild. Also he's still Enje's brother. (I don't think they ever put red text on the "not-blood related part)

-Although it seems like a mess, and less than half the story is actually about the 2 days of Rokkenjima, and Beato even refused to make a move and left the game, Beato's strategy of this episode seems to be the elimination of Gretel/Enje-Beatrice.

-Another reason why I can't really deduce anything yet is the lack of infomation from the game itself. The only confirmed death is Gohda, Kumazawa and George. It also lacks alot of red text support (perhaps it's because the game is hosted by Ginzo this time, or perhaps it's just not favorable to Beatrice) makes it seems quite easy to argue in the anti-fantasy sense. I am hoping this game board would be revisited and closely examined again in ep5 or something.

-Considering the condition of Enge-Beatrice's corpse in the meta-world, I wonder if Enje blowing up in meta world is a reflection that Enje vs Kazumi scene actually ended with Enge's defeat. That is, not of them magic happened.

Overall a good episode, but I personally like the other ones better. Maybe my opionion would change after I read the tea parties later.

1. Jessica can enchant, while George has a counter-barrier. How can they use magic? cuz they have the Ushiromiya Blood.

2. Beatrice is the official name, Beato is like a nickname. Just like Berun for Berkastel. As to the difference between Dress-Beatrice and Suit-Beatrice, it seems that (from ep2/4) that Suit-Beatrice is something that people can see normally, while Dress-Beatrice is more of a magic/meta world thing.

3. Mainly to explain what took place before, during and after the incident.

For those who want a thourough little summary without much dead end spoilers, I'm posting this. I'm not done with ep4 at all, but for the moment, things are quite shocking already.

I won't guarantee the accuracy of such summaries, but well feel free to correct me or whatnot. I will most likely do it several times, as I'm really much past this point, so putting everything in a shot would be huge

Spoiler for Episode 4, the early beginning:

Episode 4 follows Episode 3 situation as expected.
A new loop, or "chess board" is formed and Ange is discussing with Bernkastel.

After the new OP, Ronove is greetings Beatrice good morning, as a new day is going to start.
Of course, Beato is in a very good mood after what happened in Episode 3. But because of this even, Ronove reports to Beato that Battler of course didn't take well this incident and was sheltering himself under the table once again. Beato is once again worried about Battler's will to continue the game, asking Ronove if it is that serious and if she shouldn't wait a bit before the fourth chessboard.
Unfortunately for her, Ronove states that Lady Bernkastel arrived so they cannot stale the fourth game. That said, it seems it would be better to go headstrong with Battler.

Beatrice arrived with Ronove at the tea salon of the metaworld, where Battler is having antics with Belzeebub, who stole his breakfast (nice BGM).
Beatrice makes her entrance quite flashy and cheerfully (Good mooooooooorning, Battleeeeeer!).
Upon this brutal entrance, Belzee feels like uneeded and quickly give back Battler's croissant and disappear from the salon.
Battler is still startled and says in a friendly yet awkward manner good morning as well. The atmosphere between them is a bit awkward and even beato has hard time to know what to say.

With Ronove, the three of them are having quite some lighthearted antics.
But as they discuss a bit, Battler is then freezing serious, telling Beato "never do it again."
Of course, Beato is playing dumb, but Battler just repeat "never do it again.", pushing the atmosphere quite cold.

In the end, Beatrice laughs and agrees they shouldn't go past beyond "being enemies". They are then talking about this "mysterious guest", Ange. Surprisingly enough, Beato decided to send her a proper invitation to her party, but Ange didn't wait that and is already in the place. It is shown that Ange has a peculiar engrish as well (gunnaito, hava naisu dreamu XD).
Battler is thankful, but still doesn't know her identity. Ange is a bit pissed, saying that Battler isn't fighting seriously and "having fun" in this locked past, quite envious compared to her own situation. Of course, Battler claims he isn't goofing around and swear to corner Beatrice at all cost.
Then he asks who Ange is, but she doesn't feel like answering, and as Battler stares in her eyes, he has a weird intuition. He is saying out of loud it can't be possible as "she" is supposed to be 6 years old. He then asks her if she is Ange.
But Ange asks him if he believes that. Battler is silent and she adds if he would believe her if she claims she is his ally and so he can rest assured. She tells him that he is just too good natured which is the reason why he got deceived by Beato in the last game.
Battler apologizes and admits his weakness. Ange, on the other hand, claims she came because of that and her purpose is to end the game once for all.
Beatrice is having fun with the discussion and Ange claims it isn't a game but an attempt to trap him for all eternity. Beatrice likes her (in the wrong way), and Battler again asks who she is.

Ange says she is his ally and the witch's enemy. Of course, nothing can prove that, and they mention the case of Virgilia.
After further discussion, Battler asks her name, and hesitating a bit, Ange weirdly calls herself "Gretel" (from the german fairy tale "Hansel and Gretel"). Of course, Battler is like "huh". Then, the game starts, nothing really special.


Now we get a time skip, when Ange is forced to go to Saint Lucia, a private school that seclude the girls to be the elite. But as mentioned in episode 3, is was also the way to sever Ange from the outside world, thus, demolishing her freedom.
Over there, Ange is really not good with it, not having the "grace" and all, nor the intelligence in this prestigious school. She is often sneered by her classmates.
It is explained that Eva didn't allow her to stay with her mother, Kyrie, family. She had no escape from Eva's authority.

While she is alone, Ange reads Maria's diary, which allows her to see Maria herself, due to her "witch abilities". Despite their appearance, Ange still call Maria "Maria onee-chan" and appriactes her a LOT. She is discussing with her, to see how her life was (which seems to be connected with Maria prior the events of Rokkenjima).

We are shown with Maria celebrating her Birthday with Rosa in a family restaurant. Things are quite nice for the both of them and Rosa offers her a handmade stuffed animal that look like a lion cub.
This happy moment reminds Ange of hers as well, with Rudolf, Kyrie and Battler.

Maria is fond of that, and she quickly "imagine" it talking with her, as a imagined friend. She calls him "Sakutaro", as she wanted to use the name "Sakura", but since the plushi is "male", she added the taro portion.

Later on, Maria is told by Rosa through the phone that she won't be able to come back early tonight, so Maria will have to buy her own food. Expecting a problem with her, she tells Maria not to shop with Sakutaro.
Maria is fine with that albeit a bit lonely, though both decide to take this opportunity to stay late and she has a "pajama party" with Sakutaro, and joyfully buy her meal at the convenience store with "him".

After a little while, both Ange and Maria discusses about "happiness", but Ange is quickly found out by some of her classmates, and is sneered at.

So, first of all I want to say, haven't even bought the fourth game -.- But from all the posts I can see that Battler and Beato dies in the end? This is so confusing... Anyways. So I looked up Umineko on wikipedia, and there I saw the fifth game is going to be named "Curse of the Golden Witch". Maybe Battler and Beato comes back to haunt everyone? O-o And also, thank you for your summary Klashikari! It really helped me understand. I hope you'll post the end as well. And as well, could someone post me some pictures of the new characters? I want to see them... ;_; AND EVA-BEATO IS GONE?! >.<
