Well, it wouldn't be the first time rocks have exploded, but seeing as it's a space asteroid and presumably wouldn't contain much moisture, I can't think of a sensible explanation for the explosion.

water less explosion
When you heat up mater even rocks it expands heat it up rapidly and it explodes. You don't need water to have an explosion. The asteroid erupted like a volcano with the material in the center being rapidly heated up rapidly forcing the out side away.

So just confirming for my own curriosity. That asteroid being sliced and diced by OO Raiser was it using it's GN Sword IIs in beam saber mode, right? You know, like the models showing the non-rifle rotation of the blade itself for use as super long beam swords?
