i had just finished reading chapter 291 and OMG! the story is very wonderful!
and my question is "HOW" long is the manga and anime going to be!!?

Hey, i'm a little confused.
Before reading the manga, I read a "spoiler" around this forum
and now, after reading the entire manga I ended up like "what the heck was all that about?".
It's a spoiler that never occured as far as I read, or I missed quite something in the plot.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Ace's power is fire right? Which is an elemental power right? Which means that he ate one of the elemental fruits. Robin (i think its her) mentions that these fruits are 'invincible' fruits. Since that's true, and it seems that Ace has 'Fire' power, wouldn't that make him a HELL OF A LOT more powerful than previously supposed?

Right on, dude. Devils Fruits type Logia (Elemental or has the ability to manipulate or transform his body into this substance/element) are extremely strong and my guessings is that people like these are invincible untill they meet a power that works directly against them.

In the manga, Crocodile claimed that this weapon was his real reason for
taking over Arabasta, so he could dominate other countries through
using a weapon this strong.
If I remember correctly, the weapon was never found and nothing
was told about it... I believe

Why does everyone think Shanks is so strong?
Is it cause he was mentioned

I mean, I read the entire manga, but we've never seen Shanks fight,
only having that guy with the long gun beating the hell out of a
few mountain bandits in ep. 3 or so.

He doesn't mind fighting Mihawk. His messenger is 98million berries. So we know the damn captain must have at least 300+ million berries bounty on his head. And you know Shanks must had done something to deserve such bounty. We were inform somewhat that Shanks and Whitebeard are the 2 strongest pirate around. Dont' really remember but it might be when Shanks was planning a meeting with Whitebeard.

My explanation is kinda weak. Someone might have a better explanation. Or better yet, wait till Op Forum Shichibukai leader come explain it for you. Aka Mr.0 AKA Vicious-san.

First, I'd like to tell more things about Pluton...

Pluton is not any ordinary weapon. It's one of the Legendary Weapons, and it's believed to be buried under the kingdom of Arabasta. "Pluton" was named after Pluto, the Roman god of Death, ruler of the Underworld (he was called Hades in Greece). I don't think it's a weapon like a sword or a pistol, but maybe a chemical element just like the real Pluton, Uranium, etc.
All we know about Pluton so far is the information provided in the ancient History tablet in Arabasta, which was read by Robin. It seems the Legendary Weapons are somehow connected to the One Piece, since... *HUGE SPOILERS*

... Robin finds in Skypiea a History tablet telling of another Legendary Weapon, the Poseidon. There it's written "We came here, found the text, and followed its guidance". Guess who wrote it? Yes It was Gold Roger

Now, about Shanks...

Shanks is the most feared pirate in the seven seas now, sided with the fearsome Edward Newgate, aka. White Beard. For what we have seen, it looks like Shanks is as strong or even stronger than Mihawk, which was once his rival and friend.
Also, for what we have seen, it looks like Shanks power and influence is too much for the Marine right now, since they don't dare to arrest him. But they don't fear his strength, after all. They fear his ideology as a pirate, and they fear him meeting White Beard and conspiracing on a revolution. We think we know of Shanks, yet we know very little about him, after all
Also, like Jn183-san said, Shanks was planning a meeting with White Beard. This means problems to the Marine
The Marine is more worried now about Dragon, the man ho wants to make a revolution. We know a little about him too, but he plans to use Luffy and his crew to achieve his goals.

As far as I remember, Juraquille Mihawk has never stated of which material his sword was made off. He just stated that it's the strongest sword in the world; and he just calls it the "Black Sword".
About of which material it is made off, we really don't know if it was by the "word's finest metal", but I think so. I'd say he craved Blue Stones on his sword, otherwise he would be very vulnerable to some Devil Fruit users...

If Oda ever stated the "real" name of his sword and of which material it was made off; that was not in the "actual" manga. Maybe he stated it in the SBS section, which I don't have here

Plz...stop asking all these questions that really have no answer to it. WHY?? Because most of what you ask have not been shown yet or will never. So, the answer would result in opinion most of the time. We haven't seen Shanks fight at all, except when he save Luffy and scare the crap out of that sea demon.

The guy in charge of the marine is Dai-Buddha Zango. He could be strong as hell or just a bum.
