Given that Van at this point was still human, I wonder how Sunrise could have made the fight more exciting. After all, he was outnumbered, and we certainly can't have some game-like fight where everybody could exchange devastating blows and remain standing in one piece.

I was disappointed that Van didn't tank slashes and Indignations for 15 minutes before going down. Unknown mode difficulty, this anime is not.

Spoiler for plot:

I really didn't like the pacing in this episode. The least they could have done was represent a long three month time change with a fade in fade out scene change instead of a straight cut.

Wow that was very anticlimactic the fight with Van lasted as long as it took for me to take a sip of my tea. The world was saved YAY everybody rejoice but wait...its not over.

I did get a sense of satisfaction after the Natalia Luke conversation where she had him say the same promise original Luke said in their childhood. I guess they have come to an understanding though im not completely sure what this means for them.

Although it was a small part i was happy to see that Luke v2.0 mom didnt think anything less of him being a replica. Youre still my son is what she said i think this was a huge weight off Lukes shoulders.

Seeing Tear is always a treat and she looked rather happy to see Luke after a month. Not much time for catch up's as they hurry off on another adventure.

Heck, even Legendia is bette... cut --- Spoiler for ep18: Well, lots happened, so it was interesting in that way, but the story just flew...! Like ⊂二二（　＾ω＾）二⊃ ... Up until the fight with Van was okay, but then we get Van just... dying like that. Gets slashed once and he decides to go falling into the abyss laughing like a maniac... Recently, bad guys in this likes falling into abysses, huh... And then Luke faints and we get a time skip (eh...) and the series... I mean, the episode rushes to an end where Luke and co. decide to go search for something... ... Noel, kawaii yo, Noel... Noel route is fine, let's go there. Noel route. Preview: Ehhhh?! Zombies?! -Luke wears the same clothes when he sleeps and moves... -The art really was pretty this episode, but that movement by Luke at around 09:58 made me laugh... Spoiler for Episode 18: The Van fight was very short in my opinion but there were some aspects it that I liked. First and foremost, it showed that Luke still needs to grow as a fighter before he can take on Van in a singles fight. The second thing that I liked about the fight was how the animators kept some of the game mechanics, such as Luke as going to keep Van busy while Tear was performing a tech to attack with. Though, for some reason Luke paused during that moment and was gotten the best of by Van. The scenes prior to the fight was done very well, with Luke spending time with Natalie and Guy before leaving to fight Van. Luke and Asch had their talk like they did in the game, as was the scene after the fight with Van as done. Looks like next episode will be interesting because people we saw die in previous episodes are coming back to life. Not only that, but is shows Ion doing something that shows Luke having concerns for him.
