hi
i just got a wireless network computer that im on...
bt goes uber super SLOW like 1-2 or 2-3.....
kinda pissing me off lol
i tried test like moving the comp closer and stuff
still...slow
on the other comp speed is faster
i got a reliable usb network adapter ..wirlesss b.. 2.4 ghz..and 802.11b
i got a relible router too
can someone tell me if theres like some option that makes download..not download fast...
ive been downloading ragnarok the anime 7 for 5 dayz ..seriously
if theres like nething i can do plz tell me

Disable Encryption and try again. Is it faster?
- Encryption can play havoc with your speed.

oh oh
is that that 128 bit excrytion thing with wep or somthing yea i disabled it from the beggining...
oh yea i got no dial up connection i got cable net

help me..i cant survive

OK Sounds like either a firewall on one of your machines (try checking whether Windows XP Internet Connection Firewall has not been activated on the machine not directly plugged into the cable connection), or it may be that as you are running bittorrent on both machines incoming packets are interefering with each other, try a combination of port forwarding from your router (search the forum for this) and Shadows client to change the default ports for bittorrent on one of your machines so that each machine is using a different port range. (Search for this too if you want further info).

Example:

192.168.1.2 set to port 6881 TCP.
192.168.1.3 set to port 6882 TCP.

Program client must be configured to use the correct opened port.

umm yes i treid tht speed got little better...
its at the .5-4 kbs now....
sad thing is its been like that for hours...
still really slow...
neways my freiend said leave all the port open or something still same..
oh yea my connection thing is almost always at excellent or very good

I did not read everything (honestly I don't have a clue of wireless internet stuff) but did you guys consider that there might be a configuration problem with the BT client and not with the connection itself? khuram , how is your HTTP download speed? If it's faster than the BT stuff, you might want to try out Azureus and see if it solves your problem.

Attention since I'm gonna pimp my own thread

: Click the link in my sig and report back with your results in this thread if it is connection specific or in the other thread if it is Azureus specific

Are you sure that you're forwarding the ports to the correct LAN addresses?
And your friend isn't that smart, to have you open all ports...

I'm also using wireless network connection.. so far the highest download rate i can get is more than 100.. juz make sure ur system is not behind any firewall (or access is given to the BT client ur using) & that u've done port forwading (in this case TCP 6881-6999)
