I think the red X is simply Seraphim......the Seraphim system on the other hand...........

Following trends,I'm guessing it's similar to the Trial System....but not the same as shown by Seraphim to Nadleeh,Beam Shield to Heat Claw,Shields Bits to Full Shield and the GN-Sword IIs to GN-Sword/GN Blades.

Similar but different.

All he needs to do is switch the directions of the monitors, so that they display another direction, and have the computer handle the calculations of depth and motion.
The Seraphim has the cockpit, no question there. And there is a need for physically rotating the cockpit, since even if you switch around the viewpoint of the monitors for proper orientation, the pilot would still feel the inertia, gravity and G-forces that would contradict the information on the monitors. Your monitor may see you moving forward, but if your seat isn't oriented forward, you'll feel yourself going backwards - your eyes tell you you're going this way, yet your body tells you you're going that way, which would be very, very confusing and disorienting indeed. And it'll get even worse if we start talking about all the other possible directions you can go...

Which is why I always feel sorry for poor Saji when he rides in the Raiser

I seriously can't figure out what it does....I can't think of any explanation.

Nope, it doesn't. And yet it still gets its camera feed from the 00 when they're combined. Poor Saji.

But at least he can just let himself think that he's watching something on TV while in a earthquake, he doesn't need to use his inertial information to pilot.

Considering how little he does in the Raiser, besides activating the Raiser system, it wouldn't surprise me if he actually was just watching TV.

About the Seraphim cockpit discussion................here's a question:What about Allelujah?

Think about it,Allelujah transforms all the time in which he would be facing downwards in Flight Mode;assuming that the cockpit is upright in the same manner as a standing Gundam is,and yet using episode 14 as an example, the screen still shows his monitors facing forward.Of course this can still be done no problem, but unless the whole cockpit is somehow rotated, the G-Forces are going to contradict his senses..and that's bad.

Try and look at how Macross handle their Valkyrie transformation all these years.

The much speculated seraphim system which requires an interface with Veda will probably give Tieria an absolute tactical overview of every single ESF,A-laws and innovator mobilesuits in existance it may even allow Tieria to shutdown their operating systems like a vast trial system.

When I saw Seraphim for the first time I imagined a cockpit setup like Grendizer XD

I think he means that the cockpit basically rotates to reorient itself properly with the mecha's alignment, in this case 90 degrees upward.

Grendizer is all about spinning, flipping and rotating lol

It was my first anime, I woke up early every sunday morning to watch it.

The most amazing cockpit has to be G Gundam. I still have no idea how the cockpit switches from Mobile Trace cockpit to Core Lander cockpit.

Judging from the insertion point, its nothing more than having the pilot drop down from the Core Lander into the Mobile Trace System's chamber.

I also always think that Mobile Fighters are extremely hollow because of the Mobile Trace cockpit.

Seraphim's cockpit should be a simple rotation back or foward for Seravee.

Me too. Though I was hoping for an upgraded Throne Drei like what the Innovators did to Zwei when the turned it into Arche Gundam.

By the way, have we confirmed that GN Drive-Ts do not use Topological Defects? We know that basically they use electricty and the end final result is GN Particles but we really don't know much about the process itself but have we confirmed that they do not involved topological defects whatsoever?
