Anyone try to use Two Bittorrent clients at once?

Or will it not work?

It works just fine. I simply would advise that you don't use them both to download the same torrent.

Of course only one can be associated with .torrent files at a time, so the other will have to be activated manually.

Actually, It dosn't work.

I [ accidentally] tried this one a recent torrent, and my second instance was getting connection refused by server errors.

Then I realized I had one already running, and it was still going strong.

So, I don't think the servers will allow multiple connections to the same torrent.

I'd advise against double-downloading a torrent for two reasons.

First of all, you are going to be doing twice the work for no gain. Each torrent is going to insist of downloading each piece of the file because they don't communicate and share the work.

Second of all, some clients refuse to connect to the same IP multiple times. If they see someone with multiple connections they simply ban the client.

What I can't figure out is why you would want to do this. Can you explain your problem? There is probably another solution.
